Inventory Day - Part 1

I haven't been doing any painting, gaming, or modeling the last  couple of months, and my historical research has been sporadic.  With reenacting season starting up, I decided that I had better dig out all of my gear and take a quick inventory, just in case anything needs repair or replacement before my first event in June.

Below is a photo of everything that I carry as either a soldier with Seth Warner's Extra-Continental Regiment, or as a civilian/militiaman when not on the Line.

My Personal Gear
For those who are interested, here's the list of what is laid out and what it missing:

- Cleaning Kit for musket, containing a turnscrew, worm, spring vise, brick dust, oil, and cleaning patches.
- Flint Wallet, not period correct but handy for keeping spare flints and leathers in
- Musket with rammer, flash guard, and hammer stall
- Round "riflemen's" cap, need to replace with a better hat, but it's my most comfortable bit of headgear
- "Monmouth" cap, for those *really* cold nights
- Workman's cap, for civilian working impressions, or as a night cap when it's cold
- Order of the Bleeding Heart award and eye patch, for formal Regimental gatherings only
- Neck cloths, black as a soldier, white for civilian or militia portrayals
- Regimental Coat
- Cartridge box, with extra turn screw, worm, and cleaning patches
- Cocked hat (aka "Tricorn") for formal occasions, or for militia/civilian portrays. A bit crushed, could use a refresh
- Tumpline, for militia portrayal
- Shirts, one to wear, one spare
- Waistcoat
- Wool blanket
- Mess kit, includes tin cup, wooden bowl, wooden spoon, and for some reason, a 1/2 Continental (probably for buying food at Ticonderoga)
- Sewing Kit (aka "Hussive") with extra thread, pins, needles, wax, and spare buttons
- Breeches, need button repair
- Notebook, for sketching and journaling
- Bound copy of the Warner's Soldier's Handbook, so I can occasionally remind myself what moves to do when
- Frock Coat, for civilian or militia impressions. Needs some button repairs. Really want to make an unlined one for those really hot days
- Uhl knapsack, probably the most useful piece of kit. Yes, everything I need fits into it.
- Stockings, one to wear, plus a couple of spares. Wet feet suck.
- Garters, to hold up stockings, missing one
- Shoes, apparently for slipping around grassy fields and foliage covered woodlands
- Pocket knife
- Glasses

Missing: Sleeve buttons, 1 garter, 1 pair white stockings, a pencil for my sketchbook, and most importantly, a canteen for drinking water.
